Developing your people

As a manager, it’s your responsibility to enable your reports to be on a growth trajectory in their role and career. Helping your people grow not only helps them attain their personal professional goals but also benefits the company. There are many books, articles, and other resources that explain tactics to help develop each of your employees, however, everyone is unique, and a one-size-fits-all approach will not set you and your employees up for success.

This is a hands-on workshop where participants will be able to discuss in small groups how they currently work to develop their employees, where they excel as managers, and where they fall short.

During this workshop, we will:

• Explore what it means to develop your employees and why it’s important for them to grow, as well as for the company
• Separate the HOW from the WHY, and understand why they’re different concepts
• Discover tactics (HOW) to fulfill the WHY
  

After the workshop, you will have learned:

• Tools to identify each of your reports’ ambition for growth (WHY) and how to help them get on that path (HOW)
