Running great meetings

Meetings don’t have to suck! In this interactive workshop you’ll learn the core tenets of preparing for and facilitating great meetings — from deciding whether you need a meeting in the first place to practicing inclusive facilitation techniques (adapted for remote and hybrid meetings). To make the session immediately useful, come to the workshop with a real-world meeting you’re looking to either initiate or improve.

During this  workshop, we will:

• Practice establishing and articulating a meeting’s purpose
• Pause and ask “when should what I’m trying to accomplish actually be a meeting?”
• Share tips for creating clear and productive meeting agendas
• Explore meeting roles and norms
• Introduce tips to facilitate inclusive meetings and make sure that every voice is heard

• 7 simple steps for running great meetings
• Great facilitation tips and tricks, whether your meeting is fully in-person, remote, or hybrid
• Practical next-steps to make a real meeting that you own better
