Description

This workshop on growth mindset goes beyond simply defining the term to exploring ways to act from a growth mindset perspective to make decisions that ultimately shape outcomes. Our learning journey begins with first understanding the role mental models have on our decision making, attitudes, and behaviors. Our abilities to form flexible mental models ultimately open our propensities to consider alternative perspectives and generate creative solutions - key indicators of operating from a growth mindset. Participants will also receive tips to avoid the pitfalls of fixed mindset thinking along with an opportunity to identify at least one current organizational challenge that would benefit from applying a growth mindset.

During this workshop, we will:

  • Define Mental Models & become aware of our frameworks for decision making
  • Explore where mental models come from
  • Learn about how mental models are built, and what's the connection to Mindset
  • Explore the difference between a fixed mindset and a growth mindset

After the workshop, you will have learned:

  • How we can think/act/make decisions from a growth mindset
  • How to reframe our abilities/intelligence/skills as dynamic rather than static
  • Organizational challenges that may benefit from having a growth mindset instead of a fixed mindset
